We’re almost there – opening the second last door today. Wonder what today will bring? Could there be another minifigure, or is it another small model – maybe for yesterday’s table? Hopefully, it is something Christmassy, as we close in on the big day. Read on to see what is behind door number 23…
Another day with a part of bags, including a few larger pieces.

Opening the bag and doing my usual count, I found 17 pieces of which two were spares. This allows us to build a big dish (left photo below), which can be placed on the round grey plate on yesterday’s table (right photo).

It is a quite a high piece count for a dish of food. The turkey (with attached legs) is probably the most interesting part today, and great to have for any feast, noting it has featured in previous advent calendars too for the same reason.
Looking at the turkey, I couldn’t resist trying to put it on top of a minifigure (add the 1×1 round brick instead of the head piece, then the turkey sits nicely on top.

I think I now have to try this recreating one of my favourite scenes from the sitcom series Friends…
Summary
I had expected some food for yesterday’s table, though maybe a smaller dish and some bottles and goblets rather than a big dish.
It is a pretty neat model, which looks great, but doesn’t have the wow effect or high piece count as we’ve had other days. And while the turkey is nice, it will overall result it a score just above average, with 3.5 out of five house points.
Only one more door to open. Statistically (check the advent calendar comparison I did after last year’s calendar) we shouldn’t get another minifigure as most calendars include just six (though sometimes an extra snowman or statue is added). But it has been a while since we got Flitwick, so maybe this year? Or even more food or Christmas decorations? Tomorrow we will know. Be sure to check back then on the 2024 Advent Calendar page to see what we got.
Till then, Build the Magic!

I appreciate the fact that you put them in the table order as per the books and not the films.
