Huge Diagon Alley LEGO set officially revealed

One of my favourite LEGO Harry Potter sets is Diagon Alley (Set 10217), which was released back in 2011. Today, LEGO has officially revealed much bigger Diagon Alley (Set 75978) - giving us six of the iconic buildings and no less than 14 minifigures to go with it. It is available for sale from tomorrow. While not cheap, it looks stunning and I'm sure it will be a popular set. Let's see closer at what you get...

REVIEW: Hagrid and Buckbeak Brickheadz

The big-headed Funko-pop style figures are extremely popular among pop-culture collectors and since 2016, LEGO has been tapping into that market with its Brickheadz figures. In 2018 we got three sets with characters from the Harry Potter universe, but after that nothing. It was therefore a pleasant surprise to see a new Harry Potter themed Brickheadz set pop up earlier in the month. I've now had the chance to build it. Here are my thoughts...

Upgrade your 4 Privet Drive set

Already the opening scenes of the the first Harry Potter movie introduce us to number 4 Privet Drive, with Harry being left by the doorstep of the house that would become his home after the tragic death of his parents. It is an amazing set, but with some modifications, you can make it even better. Here is how...

Surely, it is dated with today's eyes, and not without deficiencies in design either. But it has a few positives aspects too that you sometimes would hope more modern sets had as well.

LEGO Harry Potter CMF series 2 spotted in the wild

While not officially revealed by LEGO yet (but with an expected release date of 1 September it can't be far away), Promobricks has found LEGO Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures (CMF) Series 2 for sale at a couple of Carrefour supermarkets. So we now know all 16 figures we are to get and it looks like a very strong series. Here is what we get and a bit of backstory to some of the figures...

REVIEW: 4 Privet Drive

With the calendar saying August 1, the new LEGO Harry Potter sets are now finally available in North America. The sets are worth the wait though - the ones I've looked at so far have been amazing. Here I take a look at 4 Privet Drive. I have really been looking forward to this one, having built my own model earlier in the year, and I was keen to compare it with the new one. Overall, I've really impressed with the set. Read on to see why...
