Yesterday’s model took us to Zonko’s – the famous joke shop in Hogsmeade. Will day 7 of the calendar also give us something to laugh about? Read on to see what we got…
Not surprisingly, today’s model is also from Zonko’s (based on colour scheme). It seems like a trolley with with goods on it, but it is a lot harder than yesterday’s model to identify exactly what. It could be stink pellets, love potions, who knows. But whatever it is, we got heaps of parts.

Overall, 23 parts are included, with only three being spares today. So in terms of actual parts used, it is rather comparable with what we got yesterday (20 parts today vs 19 parts used yesterday).
Being a larger model, it takes a bit more time to build than many earlier models, but it is still of course a rather quick morning build, and not too difficult to follow from the instructions.

Overall, not a bad model. With the red/yellow colour-scheme, it fits well with Zonko’s, but otherwise isn’t really showing any great connection (compared to the fireworks from yesterday).
Summary
I was pretty happy with yesterday’s model, with its many parts and a good model design overall. I somehow feel LEGO failed creating a similar connection with today’s model. So while great in terms of part count, and using the Zonko’s colour-scheme, it doesn’t feel as connected to the shop (or movie overall) as the previous model(s). So I settled on an average score of 3 out of five house points. I am wondering what others think?
With two models from Zonko’s, I am thinking that tomorrow may take us somewhere else. Or maybe give us another minifigure? Check back tomorrow to see what we got.
Till then, Build the Magic!
(note that the coming days I’ll be travelling with limited internet access, so any updates may be delayed and not all parts of the website updated with the updated information)

I love the clue on the flap (floor pattern) for where each build goes!!
