We haven’t had a minifigure since 1 December. Based on previous calendars, my statistically oriented brain predicts with almost certainty that today will bring another minifigure. But who would that be? Or could there be a surprise? Read on to see what is behind door number 5…
Somewhat surprising, there wasn’t another figure today either. Normally, you’d see them every 4 days or so. Interesting – I like when things are less predictable…
So another day with parts – and a good lot of them. We got 16 pieces in total, with two of them being spares.

From these, you can build the table for Ravenclaw, similar to the one we got for Gryffindor a couple of days ago.

It includes a book (they love that in Ravenclaw) and some other goodies, including a box of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. A total of four printed pieces (one is spare) is pretty good for a day. The mug in flat silver is not that common either (at least in my collection, as it has only been around for a few years, but surprisingly according to Bricklink already been included in 30 different sets).

The blue table top is a good reference to the hogwarts house that the table represents, but maybe it could have been a bit more subtle, like the colour of a mug? But overall a nice looking model, though it is a bit tight opening the book on the rather full table.

Summary
The blue table top aside, this is a good model. Nice table – fits well with the theme, and with lot of interesting items on top (including printed parts). So overall, I’ll give it a score of 4.5 out of five house points today. Is that too high. I certainly hope there will be future models that wow me even more…
So, Harry has yet to get some company. Will he get that tomorrow? Or maybe we’ll have another Ravenclaw themed model (as my statistics doesn’t seem to work this year)? Check back tomorrow on the 2024 Advent Calendar page to see what we got.
Till then, Build the Magic!
