On the twelfth day of Christmas, the LEGO Harry Potter advent calendar gave to us? Read on to see what we got…
My deduction yesterday seems to be right for once. We got something Christmas related as today’s model.
More specifically, we have Hedwig as well as two presents to put under the Christmas tree (well at least one present, but I assume the box with the donut is also a present – Ron at least would appreciate it).

Hedwig is the nice version with spread wings we got a few years back. In addition to Harry’s owl, we got 9 parts of which two were spares. Looking at the parts, the box is pretty cool, as is the donut that goes inside it. And even better, there is a spare donut in the bag today.

You may notice that there will be seeing less photos from today, as I’ve hit the GB limit of what I can have with my current blog subscription. So I need to remove earlier photos (which is time consuming as it is really hard to assess if they are unneeded or not) or upgrade to a better subscription, which probably adds a lot of cool features, but which I probably won’t need either. So for now I try getting around deleting un-needed older stuff. There may be other solutions that I haven’t thought of though, so hopefully I can come up with something better.
Summary
It was nice getting something different than tables and statues for a change.
I quite like Hedvig, though it is a bit harder to place this version with the spread out wings than the sitting one. The two gift boxes are nice too, going well with the Christmas tree, which does look very small in comparison, but in some year’s we’ve got a bigger tree closer to Christmas, so let’s hope for that.
Overall, I’ll give it 3.5 out of five house points, though I was tempted to make it four, just for being different.
Being half way through the calendar, the Great Hall is certainly filling up. I somehow think we may be due for a last round of Hogwarts student minifigure, statue, table, something Christmas related, but I could be wrong. Time will tell I guess. Check back tomorrow on the 2024 Advent Calendar page to see what we got.
Till then, Build the Magic!
