Harry Potter themed plush figures

As if there wasn't enough things to collect, you can now get cuddly plush minifigures from the Harry Potter universe. The good thing is that these may sit comfortable on your bed (partners don't generally otherwise appreciate finding LEGO pieces in the bed) and thus not fill up valuable shelf space for your LEGO collection. Hogwarts Icons – New huge LEGO Harry Potter set revealed!

In 2018, we got the large direct to consumers (D2C) microscale Hogwarts castle and in 2020 we got the Diagon Alley set. So I had been wondering - would 2021 be like 2019 - with no big set revealed in the second half of the year? Finally, we know the answer - and I like it! LEGO has produced an amazing looking set of Hogwarts Icons, which is coming soon to a LEGO store near you.

Hogwarts Crests – Rebuilds

At the beginning of 2021, LEGO released the Hogwarts Crests set in their wall arts series. It was well received and allowed buyers to build the crest of any of the four Hogwarts houses, or in case you had multiple sets, build an even larger crest for the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry itself. These may all have been tried, but now, three additional builds have been made available...

REVIEW: Hedwig

One surprise when the 2020 LEGO Harry Potter sets were announced was Hedwig (set 75979). This is basically a display piece, where previous Harry Potter sets (with very few exemptions, like the Brickheadz figures) were all minifigure scale play sets. I was therefore interested to see how it would stack up to other sets in the 2020 release....

Brick built Hedwig announced

Along with five other sets, today's announcement of the 2020 LEGO Harry Potter sets included a set with a large brick built model of Hedwig. When rumours started emerging that we would see such a model, I initially thought it would be a remake of the US Target exclusive model from last year made available as normal retail. But this is a brand new model, as we shall see here...
