Brick built Hedwig announced

Along with five other sets, today's announcement of the 2020 LEGO Harry Potter sets included a set with a large brick built model of Hedwig. When rumours started emerging that we would see such a model, I initially thought it would be a remake of the US Target exclusive model from last year made available as normal retail. But this is a brand new model, as we shall see here...

The battle of the seven Potters

Today, 22 years ago we had the Battle of the Seven Potters. It is also known as the Battle Over Little Whinging as it happened on the evening of 27 July 1997 when members of the Order of the Phoenix led by Mad-Eye Moody where to take Harry Potter to safety and was engaged in an aerial battle over Southern England with a group of Death Eaters led by Lord Voldemort. Thestals, those dark, evil looking horsies, which it turns out are quite gentle. They are one of the fascinating magical creatures introduced by J.K. Rowling. They feature unknowingly to us, already in The Chamber of Secrets when the horseless carriages take the students to Hogwarts from Hogsmeade station. It is not until the Order of the Phoenix we learn they are pulled by Thestrals, horselike creatures invisible to most. Let's have a quick look at them in the LEGO Harry Potter universe.
