We now have an official press release for the long rumoured Harry Potter Advent calendar as well and I’m pleased to see no less than seven Minifigures are included. The set seems to be centred around minifigs and small models with furniture for a Christmas decorated Great Hall. It should be available September 1 2019.
75964 – LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar – US $39.99 – CA $49.99 – DE €24.99 – UK £24.99 – FR €29.99 – DK 269.95DKK – AUS $49.99 – 304 pieces
- Each of the 24 doors open to reveal a surprise toy every day from 1-24 December, inspiring imaginative play for Harry Potter™ fans and ensuring a magical build-up to Christmas!
- Includes 7 minifigures: Harry Potter™, Hermione Granger™, Ron Weasley™, Professor McGonagall™, Albus Dumbledore™, Professor Flitwick, Hogwarts™ Architect – plus a Hedwig™ figure and micro Hogwarts™ Express train.
Looking at the front of the box we see Hermione with Gryffindor robes and as a very nice touch a minifigure of Harry dressed in the hand knit sweater that Molly Weasley sent him for Christmas. If you zoom in on the top side of the box (photo above) it looks like Ron will get his sweater too.
But who’s the Hogwarts architect? I can’t find any name but he designed Hogwarts along with one of the founders, Rowena Ravenclaw, who devised the ever-changing floorplan
There is a golden statue of him at Hogwarts Entrance Hall. A model of the statue can be seen at the Harry Potter Studio Tours in London (below).
At the base of the statue the four house mascots can be seen and the architect itself is holding a model of Hogwarts in one hand, and charts in the other. It will be interesting to see if the included minifigure is the architect or a statue of him.
