Time flies and we have only three doors left. That means we’re up to the final series of models to cover the eighth Harry Potter movie. But what model will we get? Read on to see…
We are up to the Deathly Hallows part 2 movie in our photo album. I haven’t got any great ideas to what models to expect for that movie, so I better open the calendar.
22 December model
Opening the door today, I found a sizeable bag with parts.

The colours suggested Gringotts and the instructions on the back of the for confirmed this.
And it’s not just Gringotts, it also has the escaping Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon on the roof as we saw it in the movie.
Here is how Gringotts is build:

And here is how the dragon is build:

And here is the combined model:

Wonder if this is a reference to an upcoming set as LEGO hasn’t released a Gringotts bank since 2011. Many have built their own, including myself as covered in this post. I’ve also done my own Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon as covered here and the combination of both are shown below.

Summary
So another Diagon Alley model today, supplementing the one we got on 1 December (Ollivanders) well. With the dragon on top, this is a perfect model to represent the Deathly Hallows part 2 movie. And it looks great too and is easily recognisable, so combined with the high piece count, I’ll award it the maximum score of 5 out of 5 house points.
This leaves just two more doors to open. Will they keep up to the high standard set today? Be sure to check back on the 2022 Advent Calendar page tomorrow to see what we got…
Till then, Build the Magic!
