Finally, the 24th has arrived! Will the calendar end with a blast or a fizzle? Read on to see what we got…
The last couple of calendars ended with a rather boring model on the 24th. Would this happen again?
24 December model
Opening the final door, I saw another minifigure, taking the total in this calendar to 7 (and with a bit of Slughorn too from the armchair model). This makes it the advent calendar with the most minifigures to date.

Being a quiet Saturday morning, I took up the challenge to build it while in the bag.

As seen, the minifigure is Neville Longbottom dressed as in the scene where he kills Nagini. And he comes with a decent accessory – the Sword of Gryffindor!

The figure looks great, with nice printing of both head and torso.
Below you can see how Neville looked in that scene in the last movie. The torso printing really nails that.

Summary
I’m pretty amazed to get so many minifigures this year and this one is a good one to finish with. We did get a similar one in the Battle of Hogwarts set in 2011, but that is getting hard to find and this one is a step up in quality too, in particular of the sword. So once again, I will award a model the maximum score of 5 out of 5 house points.
Thanks for following the review series. If you missed any of the posts, you can find them all on the 2022 Advent Calendar page.
With that, I’ll wish you all a Merry Potter Christmas!

After impulse buying the Lego Harry Potter advent calendar, my partner and I stumbled upon your blog when we couldn’t figure what the first model in the calendar was (Olivander’s wand shop of course!).
We are not Lego afficionados by any means, but really enjoyed building the models each day. But I have to say, reading your blog post and comparing our ratings to yours was actually the highlight of our advent calendar!
Thank you so much for all the effort you put into this blog. We’ve really enjoyed reading along.
Looking forward to 2023’s advent calendar!
