It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. After the last couple of days, the Great Hall is certainly looking a lot more festive, and timely too, as not that long till Santa boards his sledge. But we still got a few more doors to open till then. Read on to see what was behind door 19…
Somewhat surprising, we got another minifigure already today, taking us to six (which used to be the normal number of figures in an advent calendar). The minifigure represents Professor Filius Flitwick, the Charms teacher and Head of Ravenclaw, and reflects his appearance in the first two Harry Potter movies. Both head and torso are new and unique to this figure according to Bricklink.

In addition to the Professor Flitwick (and surprisingly an extra beard), we also got one of the Collectable portraits, which has been included in various Hogwarts sets this year.

It is a nice minifigure – with a beautifully printed torso (both font and back) with a golden pattern.

Professor Flitwick was the choir conductor at Hogwarts, so he is a great supplement to the choir ghost we got a few days ago.
Summary
We’ve previously got a similar early movie version in the Charms Class set from 2020. To be honest, I did like the beard used back then better for the figure. But it is still a solid figure with beautiful printing, and I do like the collectable portrait added as well, helping me to build up my collection. As result, I will award it four out of five house points.
The students are ready at their tables, waiting to start on the food and drinks provided. Professor Flitwick is ready to start the choir. We got Christmas decorations. What else do we need to get the party started? Maybe Dumbledore on his lectern declaring “let the feast begin”? I’m curious what tomorrow will bring. If you are too, check back tomorrow on the 2024 Advent Calendar page to see what we got.
Till then, Build the Magic!
