Finally weekend! But I was still up fairly early to see what was hiding behind today’s door. It was a bit of a surprise…
On the twelfth day of Christmas, my advent calendar gave to me… Pause… Ehm…
It is a pretty nice model, but I must say it took me a few moments to realise this is a window, and that it is probably meant to be attached to yesterday’s fireplace to make a wider backdrop.
12 December model
Today’s model is smaller than yesterdays, but the plastic bag still packed a reasonable 19 parts (though 3 of those were spares) to build up the wall/window section.

Here is what the completed model looks like. The greenery above the window helps to add some Christmas spirit. I assume the thing in the windows sill is a small glass jar. It could for example be the jar which Hermione used to catch Rita Skeeter in her animagus form.

The model works fine as picture frame as well (that was my initial guess).

As noted earlier, it can be connected to yesterday’s model.

As you can see from the photo above, more elements can be connected and I wouldn’t be surprised to see another wall section (with window or similar) appear later on.
Today’s model is a solid build and connects well with yesterdays. For this I will award it 3.5 out of 5 Housepoints.
What will tomorrow bring? Another windows section? Or something different? Check back on the advent calendar review page again tomorrow to see…
Till then, Build the Magic!

Thank you so much for making this detailed review/explanation! My 9 year old son and I were so confused by this, our best guess was a sled until another one showed up with a sideways chocolate frog on it this morning 😂
Thanks for doing what you’re doing!
