Instructions for Goblet of Fire brick built book

Back in March I posted about how you can build a book to use for displaying the three small micro-scale models that came with the 2020 Advent Calendar. Back then I did not have time to provide instructions for the build. But this weekend I finally got around to do it, for those interested in building their own copy…

The 2020 Advent Calendar included three micro-scale builds from the Goblet of Fire:

I really liked them, but they were different from all the minifigure scale builds and it was not natural to display them together. Hence, I came up with the idea of an open book, where the models could be shown in 3D, basically replicating when the contingents from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and Durmstrang Institute arrived at Hogwarts for the Tri-wizard tournament. Here is what it looked like.

If you want to build it yourself, you can access the instructions and part list here. Remember than portion of the parts come directly from the 2020 advent calendar, should you have that one.

I may try to do alternative versions of it in the future, to depict some of the other Harry Potter books.

Back to the Goblet of Fire book, I’ve realised that I have a number of MOCs in the pipeline all from that book. So I may make a special page for that with links to the various MOC showing key moments from the story line. So stay tuned for this.
