As reported by Brickset, images of the upcoming Harry Potter themed gift with purchase (GWP) set have surfaced on LEGO.com. It features the Gryffindor boys dormitory. As the first decent representation of this room in LEGO, it is a nice addition to the 2021 Hogwarts modular system. Here’s what you’ll get…
The new GWP set, 40452 Hogwarts Gryffindor Dorms, is a nice addition to the modular Hogwarts system introduced with the 20th Anniversary of LEGO Harry Potter series of sets in 2021. And with 148 pieces, it is a decent sized GWP set. It includes both Harry Potter and Ron Weasley (short-legged kids versions), two four-poster beds and no less than four of the collectable wizard card tiles.

From the images, you can also see that the set features an 8×8 plate that can hold all the 16 different wizard card tiles, should you have them all. For those who haven’t already built their own displays (such as this one), this is a nice feature, but it appears that the set looks just as well without it the plate in place.
Availability
In terms of availability, in Europe the set should be a free gift with Harry Potter purchases exceeding €100 from 25th October to 7th November. I assume this is from LEGO.com and LEGO brand stores only.
As noted by Brickset, it was advertised on the US store calendar as being available for a similar period but has since been removed. This suggests the promotion will be delayed in North America. I know that shipping is an issue globally these days, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more of these delays in the coming months.
My contacts in Australia inform me the set is coming to Oz too – though delayed, as what appears to be the case in North America. For other markets, I don’t currently have any information.
I will post a review, as soon as I can get my hands on the set, along with any further information about availability. So stay tuned!
Till then, Build the Magic!
