At first, I thought there had been a mistake with today’s model. But it was all good, and actually a nice surprise. Here is what we got…
I’ve been travelling the last few days, and made it half way around the world. It is hard to get the timing right posting, but I’m determined to make it work as well as possible.
16 December model
Opening the door today, I was puzzled seeing a minifigure head and hair. I was expecting a micro-scale our minifigure-scale build, and not a figure. Looking at the instructions, I then realised what it was…

We got Professor Slughorn disguised as his armchair. Below, you can see how it’s build.

We got 17 pieces in total of which only one was a spare.
It’s a nice looking arm chair and Slughorn’s head on the top really adds to it. His face has two expressions as seen below.

Professor Slughorn is relatively rare, having previously appeared in the Bricktober minifigure pack in 2018 and the Hogwarts Astronomy Tower set from 2020. This is his first appearance as armchair, which is how Harry Potter first met him in the Half-blood Prince.
Summary
So something unexpected again today! I’m personally pleased with another minifigure-scale model, which also doubles as a minifigure! It’s well designed, so I’ll award it close to a maximum score, with 4.5 out of 5 house points.
This was a nice start to the sixth movie. Will the next couple of models hold up to this standard? Be sure to check back on the 2022 Advent Calendar page tomorrow to see what we got…
Till then, Build the Magic!
