Another December morning, and another rush to the advent calendar for a quick look at today's model before a long day at work. The last few days the advent calendar has given us interior for the Great Hall. Would today be any different? I was really pleased today - read on to see why...

REVIEW – Advent calendar 6 December
Time flies. December is typically a busy month, and for me it has very much been so far. Still, I'm surprised it is already 6th of December and with this, we are a quarter through the LEGO Harry Potter advent calendar. But what a great start. Will today's model continue to impress?
Black Friday
It's apparently Black Friday. It used to be generally a thing in the US, though retailers seem very keen to make it just as big in the rest of the world. So my social media feeds have been spammed "Black Friday" notifications for days. But if you ask me what Black Friday should be about, I'd say: "Are you Sirius?" So let's have a quick overview of Sirius Black in LEGO.
Monday Meme returns
It has been a while since my last Monday Meme. This one is based on a series of photos I took at by Comic-con display in September, recreating the famous distracted boyfriend meme. In this post I've included a blank photo as well for anyone to use making their own memes.
Make your own Rita Skeeter
Everyone hates Dolores Umbridge, period. But there are other villains in Harry Potter, including Voldemort of course. Fairly high on my list of nasty personalities is Rita Skeeter, a journalist of the Daily Prophet wizarding newspaper. She invented fake news years before it was even discussed in the Muggle world. I made a minifigure of her for my display at Comic-con back in September, but have only now found the time to write a post about it.
Harry Potter CMF series 2 coming?
There has been plenty of rumours of an upcoming Harry Potter Collective Minifigure (CMF) Series 2 to be released in 2020. It will probably be a while before this can be confirmed, but here's a look at what figures such a series could include.
Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour
It has been under way for a while, but finally Harry and his friends can now get a sweet treat while doing their shopping at Diagon Alley. This model of Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour supplements the buildings I've previously designed: Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and the Flourish and Blotts bookstore. Let's take a closer look...
Team Harry or Team Voldy – which side would you play?
FRIDAY FEATURE: LEGO Masters Australia winner Cade Franklin have just shared his latest creation on Instagram (@arcade_bricks) and it’s Harry Potter themed! Over the years I’ve seen quite a few impressive LEGO chess games, but I think this is my new favourite. Here are the full set of photos, but be sure to follow Cade on Instagram as well! […]
Little Hangleton Graveyard revisited
Following from my recent review of the "Rise of Voldemort" set and subsequent discussion of how this could be integrated with the Hidden Side graveyard set, I've rebuilt those two set into an integrated MOC of the graveyard that Harry and Cedric were taken to after completing the final task of the Tri-wizard Tournament. Read on to see where I got to...
THROWBACK THURSDAY REVIEW: Quality Quidditch Supplies
I've reviewed most of the 2018 and 2019 sets so far on my review page. But there are many awesome sets in the earlier series. This post is my first go at reviewing some of the older Harry Potter sets. As a lot of my own building activity has focused on Diagon Alley shops lately, I've picked one of the early sets depicting one of these: Quality Quidditch Supplies (set 4719) from 2003. So let's get building...
