The first three days of December have given us three vastly different models - but generally of very high quality. Will 4 December be any different? And how many House Points will I award it? Read on for my 4 December review...

REVIEW – Advent calendar 3 December
After two excellent days, both getting top scores, I was curious to see what today would bring. Another figure? Another micro-scale build? Or something else? And not least, would I once again have to award 5 House Points, or wouldn't it quite hold the standard set by the first two models. Read on for my review of 3 December...
REVIEW – Advent calendar 2 December
Yesterday was a good day when it comes to the Harry Potter LEGO advent calendar. We got a minifigure that had a nice connection to Christmas - Harry wearing the sweater he got from Molly Weasley. This will be hard to beat. In yesterday's review, I left Harry standing in the snow. What will happen today? Will he get company, something to eat, a fire to get warm by, or something else? Read on for the review of the 2 December model.
REVIEW – Advent calendar 1 December
At last, the clock has ticked over to 1 December and the Christmas month has officially started. And with this, I can finally open the first lid on the advent calendar, which has been standing on the shelf waiting for so long. So was it worth the wait - read on for my review of the 1 December model.
THROWBACK THURSDAY REVIEW: Quality Quidditch Supplies
I've reviewed most of the 2018 and 2019 sets so far on my review page. But there are many awesome sets in the earlier series. This post is my first go at reviewing some of the older Harry Potter sets. As a lot of my own building activity has focused on Diagon Alley shops lately, I've picked one of the early sets depicting one of these: Quality Quidditch Supplies (set 4719) from 2003. So let's get building...
Voldemort’s hidden side
When the Rise of Voldemort set was released on 1st August, I was able to get a copy and publish a review. The same day LEGO released their augmented reality series of set called Hidden Side. One of these sets is a graveyard, so I immediately thought this might go well with the Harry Potter set, which is rather small by itself. Let's see how it looks...
REVIEW: The Beauxbatons’ are coming
While most of the 2019 Lego Harry Potter sets represent scenes that previous sets have covered, this one is refreshingly new, and in many ways it fills some gaps in what other sets have provided. The price point is quite high though, so how does it stack up?
REVIEW: The Rise of Voldemort
Wave 2 of the 2019 LEGO Harry Potter sets should be available in shops from today, 1 August (in most parts of the world). Here I will take a look at the smaller of the two, which covers the graveyard where Harry and Cedric ended up after unknowingly touching a portkey at the end of the third and final challenge of the Tri-wizard Tournament. Does it capture the scene well? Read on for my full review...
REVIEW: Hungarian Horntail Tri-wizard Challenge
75946 - Hungarian Horntail Triwizard Challenge With the first wave of the 2019 Harry Potter sets now available in North America as well, I better get on with my review of the 2019 sets. This time I'll have a look at the Hungarian Horntail set. It covers the first Tri-wizard Tournament task, which has been … Continue reading REVIEW: Hungarian Horntail Tri-wizard Challenge
REVIEW: Hogwarts Express – 2018 version
75955 - Hogwarts Express One of the 2018 Harry Potter sets I initially thought I would give a miss was the new Hogwarts Express. I already had the three previous versions (though not the very rare motorised variant of the 2004 set) - but to be honest none of them really look that well. So … Continue reading REVIEW: Hogwarts Express – 2018 version
