It is time for Blockwarts' first ever MOC (My Own Creation) competition, giving you all a chance to be creative. All you have to do is to build a small LEGO model (vignette) using 8x8 studs as base and which includes at least one minifigure from the Harry Potter universe. The winner will get a full set of 16 LEGO Harry Potter Collectable Minifigures Series 2. Here are the details...

CMF series 2 box composition – and a future competition!
The day after I left for my overseas trip, a box of LEGO Harry Potter Collectable Minifigures (CMF) series 2 arrived. Finally back, I eagerly checked what was in my box, as the reported composition had varied significantly. In this post, I shed some light on it - and flag that a full set of Harry Potter CMF series 2 minifigures is soon up for grabs in Blockwarts' first ever competition...
Huge Diagon Alley LEGO set officially revealed
One of my favourite LEGO Harry Potter sets is Diagon Alley (Set 10217), which was released back in 2011. Today, LEGO has officially revealed much bigger Diagon Alley (Set 75978) - giving us six of the iconic buildings and no less than 14 minifigures to go with it. It is available for sale from tomorrow. While not cheap, it looks stunning and I'm sure it will be a popular set. Let's see closer at what you get...
THROWBACK THURSDAY REVIEW: Knockturn Alley
It's no secret that I love Diagon Alley. Luckily there have been several LEGO sets released covering it over the years. I will here review one of the older ones, Knockturn Alley (Set 4720). Surely, it is dated with today's eyes, and not without deficiencies in design either. But it has a few positives aspects too that you sometimes would hope more modern sets had as well.

Dumbledore’s Army
My recent reviews of both the Room of Requirement set and the Hogwarts Students minifigure pack found they supplemented each other well - in particular in relation Dumbledore's Army. In this post I explore that further, creating a few extra members of Dumbledore's Army along the way...
REVIEW: Hogwarts Students
It was a pleasant surprise when LEGO recently added a Harry Potter themed minifigure pack to their range. Minifigure packs typically include four minifigures - and with four houses at Hogwarts, LEGO opted to give us a student from each of them. While we have seen plenty of Gryffindor students in previous sets, and occasional Slytherins, students from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff have been mostly ignored. Is this enough to make this pack a must-have? Here is what I think...
