Back home again, I had just started on a post about buildable books, when pictures emerged of a new gift-with-purchase (GWP) set of the Monster Book of Monsters. It appears currently only to be available in China, but hopefully it will make its way to other regions soon! Here is what we know...

Hogsmeade at winter time???
I normally don't cover new LEGO set announcements, unless they are from the Harry Potter theme. But today I'll make an exception. LEGO has just revealed this year's Winter Village set: Elf Club House. While I might be a must-buy item for my Winter Village collection anyway, when I saw the shape of the building I immediately thought of Hogsmeade. Here are my thoughts...
Roundtable interview with Diagon Alley designer Marcos Bessa
On Friday, Blockwarts along with five other LEGO Fan Media sites found our virtual seats around Marcos Bessa for a roundtable interview about the 75978 Diagon Alley set he was the lead designer of. With sharpened pencils ready (we'll leave the Quick-Quotes Quill for Rita Skeeter), we started with a few initial words from Marcos followed by a barrage of questions from the Fan Media sites. Here is what we learnt...
Huge Diagon Alley LEGO set officially revealed
One of my favourite LEGO Harry Potter sets is Diagon Alley (Set 10217), which was released back in 2011. Today, LEGO has officially revealed much bigger Diagon Alley (Set 75978) - giving us six of the iconic buildings and no less than 14 minifigures to go with it. It is available for sale from tomorrow. While not cheap, it looks stunning and I'm sure it will be a popular set. Let's see closer at what you get...
REVIEW: Hagrid and Buckbeak Brickheadz
The big-headed Funko-pop style figures are extremely popular among pop-culture collectors and since 2016, LEGO has been tapping into that market with its Brickheadz figures. In 2018 we got three sets with characters from the Harry Potter universe, but after that nothing. It was therefore a pleasant surprise to see a new Harry Potter themed Brickheadz set pop up earlier in the month. I've now had the chance to build it. Here are my thoughts...
Two Harry Potter GWP sets listed in US LEGO Store calendar for September
The US LEGO Store calendar for September 2020 is now available online, and it reveals no less than two Harry Potter Gift-With-Purchase sets available when buying from LEGO. While the listing only applies for US orders, other countries typically have similar deals. Here is what you get...

LEGO Harry Potter CMF series 2 spotted in the wild
While not officially revealed by LEGO yet (but with an expected release date of 1 September it can't be far away), Promobricks has found LEGO Harry Potter Collectible Minifigures (CMF) Series 2 for sale at a couple of Carrefour supermarkets. So we now know all 16 figures we are to get and it looks like a very strong series. Here is what we get and a bit of backstory to some of the figures...
New Brickheadz set with Hagrid and Buckbeak revealed
Last year, it was flagged that new licensed Brickheadz figures were to come in 2020, and while the Harry Potter universe wasn't mentioned, given it is an active license, I wasn't surprised to find that overnight photos have emerged on the Hungarian toy retailer Kockashop website showing a new Brickheadz set with Hagrid and Buckbeak. Here is what we know...
