When the Clock tower set came out mid year, I planned to skip it, but quite wanted the figures. The whole set grew on me, realising you got a number of new rooms: Prefects bathroom, Madeye Moody's classroom, and the hospital. So when it eventually went on sale, I bought it immediately. Reviewing it has taken months though. But as the set has all the minifigures dressed up for the Yule ball, I thought I better get it done in time for Christmas.
Christmas is literally just around the corner with today giving us the second last model, leaving us with just one more lid to open tomorrow. I had kind of expected what we got today would have been tomorrow's model - leaving me very curious what we'll get tomorrow! But let's first have a look at what we got today...
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas, Bing Crossby (and Perry Como and others) sang a long time ago. In my house, the Christmas tree got decorated today, and in the kitchen a lot of Christmas goodies were prepared for the coming days. Today's Harry Potter advent calendar also added to the Christmas feel, with a nice seasonal model as you will see...
We are down with just a few more lids left to open. Yesterday left us in suspense giving us "half a model". With great curiousity I opened the lid to see what the completed model would look like. Compared to the actual, it looks awesome, as you will see...
Christmas is approaching fast and there are not many lids left to open on the advent calendar. Following the minifigure yesterday, I assume we'll get a normal model today. But what? Another table? I'm always hoping for something new - and that is what we got today...
Having recovered from my cold (mostly at least), today was a very busy work day so my review is a bit later than usual. It doesn't remove the excitement of looking into what will be revealed under today's lid in the the calendar. Compared to yesterday's model, it was a good step up. Read on to see why...
Slowly recovering from a cold, I actually had plenty of time this morning dwelling into the advent calendar. Waiting for my coffee to finish, I sad wondering what today's model might be. Would we once again get furniture for the Great Hall? Or maybe another minifigure? Once I had got the first sip of my coffee I opened the lid...
With today we're already two thirds through the calendar. Sad to think that after just another 8 days there will be no calendar awaiting you in the morning. I really hope it sold so well it will be back again in 2020. But let's focus on the positive - like today's model which was a really cool addition...
Welcome to Sunday 15 December. Yesterday was great with another minifigure to the collection. But does that mean more furniture for the Great Hall today? I'm (not so) secretly hoping for a micro-scale built, but lets see what the calendar has for use this Sunday morning...
